In March, 2007, Shelly and I ventured on a motorcycle trip to Tombstone, Arizona, famous for Wyatt Earp and the gunfight at the O.K. Corral. We encountered snow and ice while crossing the mountains in New Mexico, stopped in White Sands National Monument, and then stayed three days in Tombstone.
The trip was thoroughly enjoyable except coming back, along I-40 from Tucumcari, NM, to Amarillo we encountered such high winds that it almost blew Shelly off the bike and she tore a rotator cuff trying to hold on.
We still had a enjoyable time overall. Here are some photos from that trip 1500 mile round-trip.
