 This display can be found at the county courthouse museum: "Born in Monmouth, Illinois in 1848, Wyatt Earp had travelled and lived as far west as California before coming to Tombstone in 1879. While in Tombstone, Earp held a variety of jobs. He was a Deputy Sheriff for Pima County, U.S., Deputy Marshal, City Deptuy Marshal and Wells Fargo Guard. He also supplemented his income as a saloonkeeper and gambler."
