Meet Samuel G. Franco from the National Parks Service in Carlsbad Cavern, New Mexico, early June, 2006. Franco is welcoming visitors to the nightly "bat show" where millions of bats fly out from the natural cave entrance to Carlsbad Cavern. They used to allow photography of the bats, but this practice has been discontinued and is now illegal to take photos of the bats. They say the flash photography disturbs the bats.
