Pictures of our Wind and Solar Powered Shed
We have a small Morgan shed. It is equipped with 110 volts of electricity as well as a complete 12 volt lighting system. Both the 110 volt system and the 12 volt system are powered entirely by wind and solar energy. Click here to read a general description. On this page you can see more photos of the setup.
The pictue above is the shed at night during a snow storm. The wind is blowing, the small wind turbine is generating about 12 volts. The solar panels are inactive because it's night. And all of the lights, including colored lights, are powered off the grid.

Above is another photo taken at night during a snow storm with more of the 12 volt LED Christmas lights lit via a deep cycle 12 volt battery.

Pictured above are three different systems mounted on my small Morgan shed. There's a wind turbine, four solar panels from Home Depot, and a small independently solar powered dusk-to-dawn motion activated spot light.

Here's a close up of the 12 volt LED Christmas lights. They are extremely energy efficient and burn very little battery power.

Here's the battery setup. It's not really organized yet like it should be. This is still a work in progress.
